CZMP Upzoning Issues
North County Preservation has now completed its research on the CZMP issues proposing Upzoning in 2008.  The Technical Committee of NCP has been working for more than a year to create the research summary folders now available to the Planning Board and Councilman McIntire.  

We want to make this information available to everyone, so we have placed on our website the research that we are giving county officials.  We want the public, as well as County elected officials, to understand the proposals for each property where an owner has asked for Upzoning. 

In addition, we have documented a few of the issues where Community Associations have asked for Downzonings.  We have focused on the Upzoning issues, because the Community Associations proposing Downzoning have shared their justification with their local communities, whereas many of the requests for Upzoning have not been distributed widely.

The folders contain a summary sheet of the policy facts, a photographic map of the property involved, and the map created from the North County Preservation Geographic Information System (GIS).  These folders, using the NCP GIS Database, identify the impact of the property on important ecosystems.
